Considering today's music is more exposed to the media and is sold greater in big cities, we are often interested in such areas. In a wide and rich nation like America, however, some local music cities hold fine economy of their own. And they have musicians of influence, such as "this city finds this man". They often generate unique sounds which only can be found in the districts, and then behind them there are fierce and stubborn bosses who have great authority and keep their idyosyncrasy in a good sense or a bad sense. Now big cities swallow and swell with them on the one hand, and local cities gradually soften their images of the past. Despite it, tracks of them on the vinyls keep on attracting us. I will talk later about such men of influence, those who were influential over them, and those who cannot be said as men of influence but appeared anywhere in the city. (2007/09/29)
